Phone Box Blast Information Appeal
A small explosion in a phone box closed a County Armagh road last night.
Police said the damage caused by the blast on the Lisraw Road was too great to have come from a firework.
Army bomb experts examined the scene after a loud bang was reported between Scarva and Tandragee.
Police have appealed for information.
Flight Festival Draws Spectators To Newcastle
A festival of flight drew tens of thousands of people to Newcaslte, County Down, on Saturday, the Newsletter has reported.
The Aerostars performed sychronised flying, Typhoon and Hawker Hunter jets flew past, and a WWII Supermarine Spitfire PR Mk XI made its first visit to Down district.
An air and sea rescue was demonstrated by the Irish coastguard alongside the Newcastle Coastguard team.
And Donard Park was packed with displays of wartime vehicles, memorabilia and model aircraft.
MLA 'Did Not Mean To Re-Tweet' Joke
South Down MLA Jim Wells has said his re-tweet of an Irish joke was a mistake, as he intended to delete the post, not forward it to all his followers.
The DUP assembly member re-tweeted a post saying the Irish had taken the gold, the lead from the roofs and the copper piping from the changing rooms.
A DUP spokesman said the comment was "mistakenly re-tweeted" and has now been deleted and Mr Wells has blocked the sender.
The spokesman said: "Unfortunately in the social media world, many people were able to see the offending tweet before it was deleted.
"We also understand there is some debate as to whether a re-tweet counts as an endorsement but in this case it has been deleted to help avoid any offence."

Irish Language Road Sign Vandalised In Co Tyrone
Sinn Féin MLA Colm Gildernew has slammed those responsible for vandalising an Irish language sign in Co Tyrone. The road sign outside Caledon has been defaced with the Irish part sprayed over with paint. Mr Gildernew said the sign had been the subject of vandalism "on multiple occasions".

DUP MLA Issues Apology Over Retweet
A DUP MLA has issued an apology for retweeting a post which described London Mayor Sadiq Khan as the "enemy within". The controversial tweet read: "The enemy within: Muslim Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, refuses to support ban of Hezbollah terror group, says he must consider if it is the 'right thing to do'.

'Don't Tax Part Time Police Gratuity', Says DUP
Those who served part time in NI's police should be treated in the same way as those who served in the Army. Stormont First Minister and DUP party leader, Peter Robinson has repeated an earlier call for the recognition payment just announced for Reserve police officers not to be subject to tax or national insurance deductions.
