Tourism Ireland set up new German office

The all island tourism body set up under the Good Friday Agreement in 1998 has announced it is to open a new office in Germany.

Tourism Ireland revealed it is to open to the office in Frankfurt with the aim of building on the 307,000 visitors who travelled to Ireland from Germany last year.

It is hoped this year will see an increase of 2% on last years figures.

Germany currently has the second largest outgoing tourism market in the world.
