55-Year-Old Man Arrested Over 1976 Murder
A 55-year-old man has been arrested in connection with Northern Ireland 36 years ago.
William Palmer, 50, was shot at his home on Milltown Road in 1976.
He died three days later in hospital from his injuries.
The man was detained on suspicion of murder, possessing a firearm and membership of the IRA.
He is currently being questioned in Antrim police station.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man Arrested Over 1976 Shankill Road Murder
A man has been arrested over the murder of a barman in the Shankill Road area of west Belfast 38 years ago. 47-year-old Alec Jamison was found shot dead in a derelict house at Argyle Street in the Shankill area on 5 March 1976. He had been reported missing a week earlier by his family.

Paul McNally was fatally shot, and another man seriously injured, as they left a bookmaker's shop at the junction of Brompton Park and Crumlin Road on 5 June 1976. The police say they believe it was a sectarian attack.
