Police Appeal After Man Is Attacked In Newlodge Area
Police are appealing for information following the report of an assault in the Edlingham Street/Newlodge Road area of Belfast last Thursday.
At approximately 9.30pm a male was assaulted by 4/5 unknown males. He received facial injuries which required hospital treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Police would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man injured in Whiteabbey attack
Police in County Antrim have appealed for information after an alleged assault on a man yesterday afternoon. The incident happened at around 4.20pm in the Doagh Road area of Whiteabbey, when a man was talking to a youth about a matter involving his garden fence. During the conversation, another man arrived at the scene and proceeded to assault him.
