Second Quinn Support Rally Planned in Cavan
A second rally in support of the Quinn family is planned for later this month in County Cavan.
The action group Concerned Irish Citizens said the demonstration on September 16 in Ballyconnell, County Cavan, would support the Quinn family and all those who have been “bullied and abused” by the banks.
One of the organisers, Patricia Gilheany, said the rally would allow Quinn supporters to say 'enough is enough'.
She said: "All of the Irish people need to be educated on how they have been manipulated and defrauded. If they all could see that they are being treated exactly like the Quinn family, then there will indeed be a revolution."
The announcement of a second support rally comes a matter of days after the lawyers representing Sean Quinn withdrew from their position.
The Quinn family claimed in a statement that they did not have the money to pay for their legal counsel.
In July, a Dublin judge found Mr Quinn, his son Sean Jr and nephew Peter Darragh, to be in contempt of court.
They hid millions in assets from the former Anglo Irish Bank.
