Last Chance To Enter Belfast Business Awards
Businesses across the city have two weeks left to enter the Belfast Business Awards 2012.
The event will take place in the City Hall on Thursday 8 November with 11 awards presented in recognition of the fine work of business enterprises, retail outlets and businessmen and women across the city. Hosted by BBC's Sarah Travers, the awards are organised by Belfast City Council and Belfast City Centre Management.
The awards categories this year are for Best New Business, Best Green Business, Best Hospitality Business, Best International Trade Business; Best Creative Business and Best Social Economy Business. There will also be awards for Best Young Business Person of the Year, Best Business Innovation, Best Business Expansion; Customer Excellence in Retail and the Best Business Person of the Year.
Among the coveted awards categories this year are the Best New Business Award (sponsored by Firmus Energy) and the Best Business Innovation Award (sponsored by the University of Ulster).
Tim Brundle, Director of Innovation at the University of Ulster, said: "The University of Ulster has a long and proud tradition of supporting business innovation both through our comprehensive range of business support services and as Northern Ireland's leading provider of business education. We are proud to sponsor the Best Business Innovation category because innovation and new thinking lie at the heart of what we do."
And Alderman Christopher Stalford, Chairman of Belfast City Council's Development Committee, said: "The Belfast Business Awards 2012 will give local businesses a chance to shine by showcasing the excellent contribution they make towards the development of our city. Winning an award will be a mark of quality that brings real prestige to any business."
