New Jobs Announcement For Cookstown Firm Welcomed
Ulster Unionist Economy spokesperson Sandra Overend has congratulated Cookstown engineering firm TES NI Ltd, on the announcement that they are to create 70 new jobs.
The Mid-Ulster MLA commented: "I am delighted to welcome the news that TES NI Ltd, from my own Mid-Ulster constituency, are to create 70 new jobs with the help and support of Invest Northern Ireland.
"TES NI Ltd, specialise in manufacturing and engineering support and in addition to their work within Northern Ireland, export their goods and services to the rest of the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Australia. Indeed, the work of TES NI Ltd featured prominently in the London 2012 Olympics as they were responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of the units necessary to power the unique ArcelorMittal structure, which is currently Britain's tallest sculpture and will become a permanent tourist feature in 2014. They are tangible proof that Northern Ireland companies can compete in a global marketplace and successfully export locally based skills and products.
"Having recently reached the final shortlist for the ‘Santander Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year Awards’, TES NI Ltd have demonstrated prove that they are a progressive company which can face the future with confidence. With so many businesses finding it difficult in the tough economic climate, I am especially heartened to see an innovative Mid-Ulster based business thrive and bring much needed jobs and investment to the local area which has been so badly hit by the recession."
