Women's Names Kept Out Of Derry Drugs Courtroom
Two alleged drug dealers have appeared in court in Londonderry without being named.
The judge agreed not to name the women at the hearing, on the basis that there could be threats to their lives made by "third parties".
Self-styled vigilante group Republican Action Against Drugs has been behind a string of 'punishment'-style attacks in the town.
The women, aged 27 and 19, were identified by court numbers only while they were at the hearing.
Both are charged with having cannabis with intent to supply, and the older woman is also charged with possession of the Class A drug ecstasy.
They were arrested after drugs were found in the Waterside area of Derry on Wednesday.
The women were released on their own bail of £500 with £750 sureties each.
As part of their bail conditions they must not contact one another and must not use or have a mobile phone.
They were ordered to live under court curfew with their parents and will be electronically tagged.
They are due to appear in court again in October.
