New Guide Launched To Provide Advice For Small Businesses
Fine Gael Meath West TD, Ray Butler, has said that a new Government-produced guide will provide small businesses with invaluable advice on surviving in a very tough trading environment.
'Managing Out of the Crisis' aims to give help and advice to local businesses in difficulty.
The guide has been produced as a result of a recommendation made by the Advisory Group for Small Business (AGSB), which is chaired by the Minister for Small Business, John Perry TD. The group looks at ways to promote growth and job creation within the sector, and makes regular suggestions on how to address issues of concern.
Welcoming the guide's publication, Deputy Butler said: "Businesses across Meath are going through a difficult period; for the last few years conditions have remained very challenging. The Government is focussed on completely rebuilding a new economy based on innovation and enterprise. And with this new guide we want to provide local businesses with practical advice on how to stay afloat.
"While it's essential we create new jobs, it’s equally important to protect existing ones. Businesses need information at their disposal to ensure they can tackle problems as soon as they arise. This guide provides simple advice, as well as contact details for organisations which can help. The guide can be viewed on the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation’s website, and it will also be available to pick up in City and County Enterprise Board offices, banks and in other relevant business organisations."
