Teenager Arrested In Connection With Lisburn Attack

A teenager has been arrested in connection with an assault on 17-year-old Lisburn man Scott Vineer.

The anonymous teenager, also 17, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder yesterday, a week after Scott first went missing.

Scott, who is 17, was found in a disused furniture warehouse near the Lagan river last Friday, having been kicked in the head over and over.

He is now in a critical condition in hospital.

Police also searched an address in Ashmount Gardens in the Hillhall estate and removed some items for further examination.

Scott is a student at the South Eastern Regional College in Lisburn where he also attends a job club, run by the learning disability charity Mencap.
