Price Too Ill To Stand Trial
Republican activist Marian Price will be unable to stand trial, Londonderry Magistrates Court has been told.
UN, prison and defence doctors undertook examinations of Ms Price and concluded she was too ill give proper instructions to her legal team.
The 58-year-old was charged with encouraging support for the IRA at a dissident republican easter commemoration rally in the City Cemetery in April 2011.
The case has been adjourned for three weeks.
Knife-Point Robbery At Petrol Station
Two men have held up a petrol station in Hillsborough, County Down at knife-point.
The pair robbed the shop on the Dromore Road at about 22:10 on Thursday.
No one was injured in the incident, but a PSNI spokesperson said staff were "badly shaken".
The robbers have been described as around 5 ft 6 in tall, of slim build, and wearing dark coloured hooded tops.
Marine Litter Strategy Announced
Environment Minister Alex Attwood has launched a consultation on a strategy to address levels of marine litter in Northern Ireland.
According to the Executive, The Draft Strategy recognises "reducing the levels of litter entering the marine environment will require an attitudinal and behavioural change towards the appropriate disposal of litter on the part of the general public, backed by effective enforcement of existing legislation and underpinned by a robust coastal infrastructure."
Minister Attwood said "The Draft Strategy presents a coordinated response designed to tackle the levels of litter present in Northern Ireland’s marine environment. It aims to do this by reducing the levels of litter entering the marine environment and facilitating the removal of litter already present on our coastline."
This is the first Draft Marine Litter Strategy to be consulted on in the whole of the UK.
Minute’s Silence At Ulster Game
A minute's silence will be held during tonight’s Cardiff Blues vs. Ulster rugby match.
It is the team's first game since the death of centre Nevin Spence, 22, who was killed in an accident on the family farm with his father and brother on 15 September.
Cardiff Blues' director of rugby, Phil Davies, says the best tribute is to let rugby do the talking.
"He was a particularly outstanding player for Ulster and obviously he'll be sorely missed", Davies said.
"If we can put on a fantastic game of rugby I think it would be a fantastic tribute to the young man."
