CIOB recognised as Investor In People

Chris Blythe, Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) represented the organisation at the recent Investor in People (IIP) awards ceremony at the Donnington Valley Hotel in Newbury.

The Institute was recognised as an Investor in People organisation after achieving the standard in December 2002. Chris Blythe commented: "We are fully committed to developing workforce skills in order to achieve our wider business aims and objectives. We have used the Investors in People planning process to address our needs and have now implemented a training and development programme."

The Standard is based on four key principles for people development, and research conducted among recognised Investor in People organisations has suggested increased levels of customer satisfaction and improved rates of productivity.
