Family Dog Hanged
A dog has been found hanged in Limavady.
The Jack Russell, a family pet, had been taken out of its cage and hanged in the back garden of a house in Drumachose Park.
Alan Robinson, the deputy mayor of Limavady, has described the house as a scene of "utter devastation".
He is reported to be "seething with anger".
Belfast Man Dies In Balcony Fall
A man from west Belfast has died after falling from a balcony at a resort in the Costa Brava.
Gary Lavery is reported to have only just arrived hours before the incident happened.
The 44-year-old was a barber from Andersonstown.
The UK Foreign Office is providing consular assistance to the man’s family.
West Belfast MP Paul Maskey has described him as a popular character.
Murder Investgation Renewed
An investigation into the murder of a 25-year-old woman has led detectives to an area of farmland in Comber, county Down.
It is thought that the search is not a hunt for human remains and that detectives are attempting to locate a vehicle which was used in the murder.
Lisa Dorrian was last seen at a party on the Ballyhalbert caravan site in County Down in February 2005.
Extensive sea and land searches have been carried out since her disappearance and a number of arrests have been made during that time.
But no-one has ever been formally charged with her murder.
A £10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the recovery of her body.
Suicide At West Belfast Homeless Shelter
A man is reported to have taken his own life using a shotgun at a homeless shelter on the Falls Road in Belfast.
The incident is thought to have occurred around 03:30 yesterday at the Simon Community facility.
Reports suggest the 46-year-old Belfast man was known to staff and entered the premises a short time prior to taking his own life.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Arrest Over Attempted Murder
Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident on the Limestone Road in north Belfast on Friday night. A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries sustained during the attack, in which a number of people are believed to have been involved.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the stabbing of a 66-year-old man in east Belfast on Tuesday afternoon. The attack occurred at Wolsey's tackle shop on the Upper Newtownards Road at about 15:30.

Woman shot in abdomen during domestic incident
A 45-year-old woman is in a stable condition in hospital after being shot in the stomach on the outskirts of west Belfast. The incident, which police believe to have been a domestic dispute, took place at a farmhouse in Wheelers Road, Hannahstown. The remains of a bouquet of flowers were found across the yard outside their front door.

Man Reported To PPS In Ian Ogle Murder Investigation
A 37-year-old man has been reported to the Public Prosecution Service on suspicion of the murder of Ian Ogle. The 45-year-old was stabbed 11 times by a gang of men near his home in Cluan Place, east Belfast, on Sunday 27 January. The suspect had been arrested in February.
