Three Arrested Following Oil Laundering Plant Find
Three men have been arrested after an oil laundering plant was discovered in Co Louth.
The men, two from Northern Ireland and one from Co Louth, have been taken to Dundalk Garda station.
Officers from the Irish Revenue's customs service and gardai closed down the site at Tatebane, Hackballscross, Dundalk, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Approximately 30,000 litres of illicit fuel, over 50 bags of bleaching earth, one tanker and three lorries were seized from the site.
Officers also recovered 36 tonnes of toxic waste and spirits on which Irish duty had not been paid.

NI Men Among Four Charged In Dublin
The men who were charged at the Special Criminal Court in Dublin today in connection with the discovery of a mortar in Co Louth on Tuesday have been named as Dalton McKevitt, 35, from Dundalk and Niall Farrell, 34, also from Dundalk.

Arrests Made Following Oil Laundering Probe
Two men have been arrested following the discovery of an oil laundering plant in County Louth last night. One of the men from Dublin has been released, and the other, in his 30's from Northern Ireland is still being questioned. Customs officers and gardai found 25,000 litres of the illegal fuel at a plant near Hackballscross.

Three NI People Killed In Co Louth Crash
Three people from Northern Ireland have lost their lives in a two-vehicle collision in the Republic of Ireland. Gardai have charged a man in his 20s following the crash on the N1 Carrickcarnan in Dundalk shortly after 2pm on Saturday 29 February. A mother and son from Co Armagh and a young footballer from Newry were killed in the incident.

Garda detain seven men in County Louth
Gardaí investigating the activities of dissident republicans have detained seven men in County Louth. The men were arrested by a special armed detective unit of the Garda, following a police operation in Dundalk on Sunday, January 6. During the operation Gardaí seized a number of guns, a quantity of ammunition, and military style clothing.
