Sperrins receive £3.5m boost for tourism
The Sperrins area of Co Londonderry is to benefit from a £3.5m tourism boost under the Natural Resource Rural Tourism Initiative (NRRTI).
Awarded to Sperrins Tourism, it is hoped that the award will help the funding of accommodation, tourism infrastructure, and festivals and events at wards within the designated Sperrins Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
Sperrins Tourism is holding a funding information evening for private and community sector tourism interests tomorrow evening in Park Community Centre to consider projects worthy of the funding.
Anyone with a proposed tourism-related project within the Banagher Ward of the Derry City Council area has been invited to come along to hear what funding is available for tourism development projects.
The information evening begins at around 7.30pm.
