Créche Facilities At University Of Ulster To Close
A proposal has been made to close the crèche facilities at the Magee and Jordanstown campuses of the University of Ulster.
The closures could lead to the lose of at least 30 jobs and dozens of nursery places.
The service has been operating at "a significant deficit annually" and is no longer viable as fewer students use the facility due to "changing lifestyles", the university has said.
Unison have said it will fight the proposal.
The university for the Coleraine campus suggested a similar move four years ago but it did not proceed.
