Teenager Shot In Legs

A teenager has been shot in the legs in a paramilitary style shooting in north Belfast.

The 18-year-old is said to be in a critical condition following the incident, which occurred in Ardoyne Avenue at about 20:30 on Tuesday.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested over the attack.

Child In Hospital Following Collision

A female child has been taken to hospital after being knocked down in Ballymena, County Antrim.

The six-year-old girl is being treated in Antrim Area Hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.

The accident happened in the Ballykeel Estate at about18:00 on Tuesday.

Woman Rescued From house Fire

A woman who was trapped in a house fire in west Belfast has been rescued.

The fire at a house in Brooke Drive in the Blacks Road area began at about 02:00 on Wednesday morning.

Two men escaped but the woman was trapped at the window of a first floor bedroom.

Fire crew rescued the woman using a ladder.

Bail Refused Over 65,000 Euro Haul

Two men from the Republic of Ireland have been refused bail after being found with 65,000 euros in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh.

The men were arrested as part of a police investigation into serious and organised crime.

Pascal Kelly, 43, from Ballyjamesduff in Cavan and Jonathan Gill, 31, from Dublin, have been charged with possession of criminal property.

Mr Kelly also faces charges of possession of a false passport and obstructing police.

The pair were arrested after police stopped a car on the Queen Elizabeth Road in Enniskillen on 4 February.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Man Charged In Possession Of Heroin
A man is to appear in court charged in possession of heroin. Police arrested five people during searches of a property in Newry on Wednesday, 16 January. Two men have also been charged in possession of a Class A drug. A 50-year-old woman has also been charged with permitting premises to be used for the supply of a Class A drug.

Three men arrested in connection with Lisa Dorrian murder
Three men have been arrested in connection with the murder of missing 25-year-old Bangor woman, Lisa Dorrian. Police have revealed that two of the men arrested are aged 18 and the other is aged 23, however no other details have been released as yet.

Youths released after pensioner robbery
Two boys, aged 14 and 15, have been released from police custody, following the mugging of an 81-year-old woman in North Belfast on Sunday morning. The pensioner was walking near the Sommerton Road junction of Fortwilliam Park, when her handbag was snatched. The woman was not injured in the attack, and her bag was later found at Ardavon Park.
