Four In Hospital After Traffic Accident

A road traffic accident in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, has left four people in hospital.

The collision involved a police car and another vehicle.

It has been reported the incident happened in the Castle Street area of the town on Tuesday evening near the police station.

Two ambulances attended the scene.

Two Charged Over Antrim House Attacks

Two people have been charged over an incident on Monday night in which three properties in Antrim town were attacked within the space of an hour.

A gang smashed windows and tried to force its way into two properties at Firmount Drive.

A third property was then set on fire.

In one of the incidents, a man sustained hand injuries when the gang tried to force their way into his property.

A 44-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were arrested and have now been charged.

They are due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates Court later on Wednesday.

The man faces five charges, including aggravated burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm (GBH) and disorderly behaviour.

The teenager has been charged with aggravated burglary with intent to inflict GBH.

Woman Falsely Claims Over £25,000 Benefits

A woman has been given a 15-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, after it emerged she had claimed benefits totalling over £25,000.

Seaneen Dillon, 30, of Glencairn Way, Belfast, claimed Income Support, Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £26,068 while failing to declare employment.

She will also be required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

L'Derry Woman Threatens To Burn Officer's House

A woman from L'Derry has been given a conditional discharge after she made threats to burn down a police officer's house.

21-year-old Natalie Campbell, from Drumard Close, admitted assaulting police, disorderly behaviour and threatening to destroy property.

A court heard how Ms Campbell approached a police vehicle with a group of people on the Limavady Road. She then began swearing and kicking at two police officers.

She told a female officer she would burn her out of her home.

The two-year-discharge accompanies compensation to two of the officers, to the tune of £150 and £200.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Nelson Cheung: Man Charged For Perverting The Course Of Justice
Police investigating the murder of Nelson Cheung have charged a man with perverting the course of justice. The man, 24, has also been charged with possession of class B drugs. He is due to appear in court on 2 June. Mr Cheung, 65, was killed after being stabbed on the Claddy Road in Randalstown on 8 January.

Man Arrested Over Moira Police Station Attack
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a car bomb attack on Moira police station in 1998. The suspect is being questioned at Antrim police station. He was detained in the Moy area of County Tyrone this morning.

Woman Charged After Police Seize iPhone Disguised As Taser
A woman has been charged after police in Armagh seized an iPhone disguised as a taser. Two metal pins on the end of the phone "would give a nasty shock and and are more than capable of incapacitating you temporarily", according to the police.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of George Gilmore
A 39-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The suspect was detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 12 April, and is being questioned at Musgrave police station.
