Belfast Airport Owners May Sell
The owner of Belfast International Airport has not ruled out its sale.
Abertis Group, which is based in Barcelona, are conducting a review of their airport division and may sell off the asset to ease their €14bn debt
A spokesman for Abertis said no decision has been taken but a potential sale could be an option, depending on the outcome of the assessment.
The Spanish company currently owns three airports including Belfast International.
Cardiff airport is expected to be bought by the Welsh government next month. The contract to run Luton airport may also be sold.

Aer Lingus flights are to go from George Best Belfast City Airports as of the autumn. The airline is switching its operations there from its former base at Belfast International Airport. It will fly three flights daily in each direction to both London Heathrow and Gatwick.

bmi to concentrate services at Belfast City
bmi has announced that it is to discontinue its Heathrow service from Belfast International Airport (BIA) and concentrate resources in Belfast City Airport. However, bmi will maintain a presence at BAI as bmibaby will be including Belfast International as a destination to be served from a new UK base to be announced shortly.
