Abortion Vote Debate Could Be Delayed
The vote on a new law preventing private clinics in NI to carry out abortions may be delayed.
Stormont were due to debate the amendment to the criminal justice bill next Tuesday, but justice minister David Ford has asked for a postponement.
Ford wants to postpone the debate until 12 March over an unrelated matter.
This involves allowing courts to open on Sundays for the G8 in case of public order problems.
On Thursday, two MLAs, the DUP's Paul Givan and the SDLP's Alban Maginess, unveiled their plans to amend the bill on abortion.
They are asking MLAs to change the law so that abortions, when permitted under the law, could only be carried out by the NHS.

Man Extradited From US Over Historical Child Sex Abuse
A 68-year-old man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for a series of indecent assaults on a child in the 1970s. Damien Desmond Anderson, originally from L'Derry, was extradited from the US to face justice. He was convicted of 12 counts of indecent assault against a female who was 11 years old at the time of the abuse.
