John McAreavey Gets Payout
John McAreavey, the husband of Michaela who was murdered on her honeymoon in Maritius in January 2011, has been awarded damages after the Irish Daily Mail published still photographs of another couple arguing.
The newspaper expressed its apologies for the publication of the CCTV photographs.
Mr McAreavey is to receive a substantial five figure sum in damages.
The stills were potentially misleading and caused significant distress to Mr McAreavey.
The widower, who attended the Belfast High Court today, said he was glad the matter had been settled.
The pair had been married for just 12 days before she was murdered.

Attorney General To Examine Papers Of Michaela McAreavey Murder
Northern Ireland's Attorney General is to examine papers from the trial into the murder of Michaela McAreavey it has been revealed. Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness is calling for the perpetrators of the killing to be brought to justice. Mr McGunness said that there was "every prospect" of a new trial.

Pope Appoints Apostolic Administrator
Bishop Philip Boyce has been appointed apostolic administrator for Dromore. The Pope made the appointment after Bishop John McAreavey resigned earlier this month over celebrating Mass alongside a priest who he knew was a paedophile. The late Fr Malachy Finegan has been accused of sexual abuse by 12 people. Bishop Boyce is originally from Donegal.
