Horse Injured In North Belfast Collision

A horse has been injured following a collision with a car in north Belfast.

The incident occurred on the Ligoniel Road on Monday morning.

Police have said the road is passable however are urging motorists to drive with caution.

It is not believed the people travelling in the car were seriously injured.

It is understood the incident has caused some delays.

Two other people were also injured in the two-vehicle crash. Elsewhere, a man has been seriously injured in a road collision in Ballywalter, Co Down.

Man dies in road accident
A 21-year-old man has died following a collision in west Belfast last night. The man has been named as Sean Linehan, from Willowvale Avenue in the city. It is believed his car was in collision with a cement mixer lorry at around 5pm. Two other people in Mr Linehan's car were injured.

Man Injured In East Belfast Collision
A man has been injured in a two-car collision in east Belfast. The crash happened on the Upper Newtownards Road just before 10.30am on Tuesday, 23 May. The man has been taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries. The road has been re-opened.
