Man Suffers Facial Injury After Attack

A man has suffered a serious facial injury following an attack in a park in L'Derry, according to the PSNI.

Two men were attacked by a group of men in the Brook Park at Great James Street on 26 April.

The incident occurred between 04:00 and 05:00.

Boy Injured After Stone Thrown Through Bus

Police are investigating an incident in which a boy was injured when a stone was thrown at a school bus in L'Derry.

The teenager was struck on the shoulder when the stone came through the bus window.

It happened as the bus was stopped on Northland Road to drop off some students on Monday.

About 10 students were travelling home at the time.

The victim was taken to hospital for further examination.

Woman Dies In Road Crash

A 25-year-old woman has in a road crash in Lisnaskea, County Fermanagh.

The incident happened on the Dernawilt Road at about 09:00 on Monday morning and involved only one vehicle.

The woman has been named as Aisling Reilly from the Lisnaskea area.

Two Convicted Of Benefit Fraud

Two people have been convicted at Craigavon Magistrates' court for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.

On Monday Maria Mullaly (27) of Glenholme Park, Lurgan, was found to have claimed Income Support, Carers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £7,794 while failing to declare employment.

She was given 120 hours community service and ordered to pay court costs of £43.

Paulo Santos (37) of Enniskeen, Drumgor was fined £150 and ordered to pay court costs of £19 for wrongful encashment of Jobseekers Allowance totalling £106.

Both are also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

Cairnshill Drivers Urged To 'Get On The Buses'
A long-awaited bus service for an underused park and ride site for motorists in south Belfast is to begin shortly. From Monday, 1st November, Translink will provide the service, which will take commuters into Belfast city centre. It will operate every 15 minutes between 7am and 7pm, Monday - Friday and a return ticket will cost £2.

Translink Bus Strike 'Back On' From 17-23 May
The bus strike "is back on", the GMB Union has announced after their members rejected a revised pay offer. The union has said that drivers, cleaners and shunters across the company will walk out for seven days from 17 to 23 May 2022, "causing the entire bus network to grind to a halt".
