MJM Group's New Factory Officially Opens
MJM Group's new £7 million purpose built factory in Newry has officially opened.
MJM Group have gradually turned into a leading international specialist in new build, refurbishment and fit-out services to the marine, commercial and private sectors.
When visiting the state of the art facility in Carnbane Business Park, Minister Arlene Foster said: "MJM is an established export focused company with a strong £20million order book already secured for 2013, largely in the marine market.
"As a major employer in Newry, MJM holds a prominent position in the business landscape of the region and makes an important contribution to the economy there. It has consistently invested in skills and wider capability development in order to capitalise on sales outside Northern Ireland and benefited from a broad range of support from Invest NI towards training, marketing and strategic planning.
"Investing in this new purpose built factory signifies the company's commitment to growth and continuous improvement."
In the last 3 years, MJM Group has received £106,507 of support from Invest NI, including £58,000 to support the company's entry into New Zealand and the establishment of a dedicated improvement team, creating seven new jobs.

Established in 1983 by the McConville family, MJM Group is a world leader in the refurbishment of Cruise Liners, Ferries, Super Yachts, luxury hotel and leisure facilities, office and retail and private residential.

A leading refurbishment firm has announced a £6.9 million re-investment programme at its base in Co Down. MJM Group, based in Rathfriland, Newry, decided on the move after recently receiving $8 million worth of orders from US firm American cruise lines.
