Lurgan Firm Exceeds Sales And Export Targets

Lurgan based JH Label Solutions has exceeded all its sales and export targets, securing over £5m in sales in just four years with the support of Invest Northern Ireland.

The company produces printed self-adhesive and pressure sensitive labels for both small and large local businesses, as well as many major blue chip end users outside Northern Ireland. It sells into several sectors including food, beverage, personal care, pharmaceutical, engineering and chemical.

Owned by brothers Keith and Alan Hamilton, JH Label Solutions has been very successful in securing export business with around 50% of the company's sales going to end users outside Northern Ireland, including Great Britain, Republic of Ireland, Dubai, mainland Europe, Canada and the USA.

Ian Murphy, Invest NI's Director of Growth and Scaling, said: "JH Label Solutions has demonstrated great energy and focus and has shown that, with the right strategy and people, it is possible to create sustainable sales, controlled growth and high quality employment.

NI manufacturing and exports rise
Total sales and exports reported by manufacturing companies in Northern Ireland have continued to increase over the last year. The latest figures from the Northern Ireland Manufacturing Sales and Exports survey, show that sales by manufacturing companies were worth £13.8 billion in 2004/05, an increase of 2.5% over the year.
