Man's body pulled from River Foyle

Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was recovered from the River Foyle in Londonderry today.

The young man's body was recovered at around lunchtime by a Foyle Search and Rescue team. A crime is not suspected at this stage.

Meanwhile, police are appealing for information after the home of a 10-day-old baby was paint bombed in Drumahoe overnight.

The baby was asleep with its parents when they were woken by a noise at the front of their house at Old School Field in the town.

When the couple went to investigate they found the living room window smashed.

Two paint bombs had also been thrown against the front of the house.

A number of people were heard running from scene.

Man's Body Recovered From River Foyle
The body of a man has been recovered from the River Foyle in L'Derry. It is believed the man entered the water on Sunday night, 08 July. His death is not being treated as suspicious. A PSNI spokesperson said: "I'm sure you will join me and my team in sending your thoughts to the family and friends at this time.

Recovered Body Named As Missing L'Derry Man
A body recovered from the River Foyle has been identified as that of missing L'Derry man Andrew Quigley. Mr Quigley (20), from Galliagh estate in the city, was reported missing on January 18, when he did not return home from a night out. A mobile phone and wallet belonging to Mr Quigley were found on the Foyle Bridge.

Body Of Sam Comber Recovered From River Foyle
The body of missing man Sam Comber has been recovered from the River Foyle, police have confirmed. Mr Comber, 39, was last seen at a supermarket in L'Derry on Sunday, 14 May. His bicycle was later found in a lay-by in the Newbuildings area. His body was recovered on Saturday, 20 May.

Second Man Missing In River Foyle
Search and rescue teams who are looking for a missing teenager in the River Foyle, have said they are now looking for a second man. It is understood the man went into the river on Monday morning while crews were looking for missing 18-year-old Kieran McKeon. The body of Mr McKeon's companion, Alexandra O'Brien, was found in the river last Thursday.

Body Discovered On Banks Of River Foyle
A body has been discovered on the banks of the River Foyle. The unidentified body was found on Tuesday, 18 April, the PSNI have confirmed. A post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death. No other details have been released.
