Henry Joy Parade - Loyalist Protest Allowed
20 people will be allowed to take part in two loyalists protests planned in opposition to a Henry Joy McCracken memorial parade next week.
Seven bands and 500 people are expected to take part in the parade, which will be led by the Henry Joy McCracken flute band on Sunday 25 August.
The proposed outwards route is as follows:
Ardoyne Avenue
Oldpark Road
Rosapenna Street
Rosapennna Drive
Cliftonville Road
Antrim Road
New Lodge Road
North Queen Street
Carrick Hill
Tyrone Street
Wall Street
Stanhope Drive
Stanhope Street
Clifton Street
Henry Place
The Parades Commission has ruled the parade will not proceed past the junction of Victoria Parade.
It has also been redirected away from Clifton Street.
The march will make its way to the graveyard in the area of Henry Place via Carlisle Road and will make a return journey along the same route.
The Greater Concerned Residents Group Belfast and Concerned Residents Group Shankill are to protest at Clifton Street in north Belfast. Up to 600 people are planning to attend.
The Commission pointed out the serious disorder caused last week, when Loyalist protestors clashed with police during an republican 'anti-internment' march through the city centre.
56 police officers received treatment from injuries sustained by protestors throwing missiles including bits scaffolding and paving slabs.
