Jim McConnell Murder - Man Arrested
A 23-year-old has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of James McConnell in the Prehen area of L'Derry four years ago.
Mr McConnell, 38, was shot by two masked men at his home in Woodland Avenue on 11 February 2009.
The suspect, from the Limavady area, has been detained by detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch.
Elderly Woman Found With Bruising
An elderly woman has been found distressed and with bruising on her body in her east Belfast home.
She was found by a neighbour at the property on the Cregagh Road this morning and taken to hospital.
Police are currently beginning enquiries.
Four Arrested Over Cash Van Robbery
Four people have been arrested following the robbery of a cash-in-transit van in Newtownards, County Down.
Three men and one woman were detained by police after the robbery at a service station on the Donaghadee Road on yesterday morning at about 11:30.
Two men, one of whom was carrying a suspected firearm, threatened a security guard and stole a cash box.
The pair, 34 and 36, remain in custody while one man, 23, and a 20-year-old woman have been released on bail.
Four Convicted Of Benefit Fraud
Four people have been convicted at Newry Magistrates' Court for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
Aimee Whymark (21) of Chestnut Grove, Newry claimed Jobseekers Allowance totalling £1,259 while failing to declare employment. She was fined £300 and ordered to pay court costs of £40 and an offender levy of £15.
Roberta Parr (42) of St Patricks Park, Hilltown claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £6,265 while failing to declare she was living with her partner. She was fined £300 and ordered to pay court costs of £55 and an offender levy of £15.
Margaret Barry (55) of Ballynalack Road, Camlough claimed Jobseekers Allowance totalling £18,238 while failing to declare capital. She was given an absolute discharge and ordered to pay court costs of £31.
Patrick Harper (59) of Casement Park, Kilkeel claimed Income Support and Employment and Support Allowance totalling £5,898 while failing to declare capital. He was given an absolute discharge and ordered to pay court costs of £40.

Damien Laverty (34) of Glenbaw Park, Dunmurry claimed Jobseekers Allowance totalling £6,746 while failing to declare employment. He was given a four-month prison sentence suspended for two years and ordered to pay court costs of £40.

Fraudsters are being made to pay the price for claiming a variety of benefits they were not entitled to. A total of 14 people were convicted at Belfast Magistrates' court yesterday with Joanne McBride (35) of Portallo Street, Belfast claiming Income Support totalling £4,451 while failing to declare she was working.

Criminals Sentenced For Benefit Fraud
A man was convicted at Belfast Magistrates' court on Wednesday for claiming benefits he was not entitled to. Raymond Crooks, 52, of Bentinck Street, Belfast was given three months imprisonment suspended for two years and ordered to pay court costs of £22 for wrongful encashment of Employment Support Allowance totalling £173.

Benefit Fraudsters Handed Jail Sentences
People from different areas of NI have been sentenced to terms of imprisonment and fines for defrauding the Government over benefits being claimed illegally. As part of a continuing crackdown, three people were convicted at Craigavon Magistrates' court on Monday for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
