Man Rescued From House Fire
A man has been rescued from a house fire in north Belfast.
The fire started at approximately 7.15am on Monday from a cooking pot that was left unattended in a house in the Malvern Close area of the Shankill.
Three fire engines attend the scene.
The man was taken to hospital where he was treated for smoke inhalation.

The Home Fire Safety Check coincides with Fire Safety Week, which runs from September 30th to October 6th. The initiative aims to reduce the number of house fires in Northern Ireland.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Fatal House Fire In Newtownards
A woman in her 30s has died in a fire at a house in Newtownards, Co. Down. The fire occurred at a house in Ilex Avenue at around 5.30pm and the woman is reported to have died at the scene. An investigation into the circumstances of the death is being conducted by police who have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Man Dies In L'Derry House Fire
An investigation has been launched following the death of an elderly man in a house fire in L'Derry. Emergency services were called to reports of a fire at a house in the Earhart Park area of the city early this morning. Five people were rescued from the property. A man, aged in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An 89-year-old man has been rescued from a fire at a house in west Belfast. The blaze happened at a property in the Lenadoon Avenue area in Suffolk on Tuesday, 06 March. Emergency services attended the scene and extinguished the fire.
