£65,000 Improvement Scheme For Cookstown
DRD Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start of a £65,000 improvement scheme for Battery Road/Drumenny Road, Coagh, near Cookstown.
The work is due to begin on Monday 9 September at the busy staggered crossroads on the B73 Battery Road and the B161 Drumenny Road, Coagh. Work will continue until early October 2013.
During this period, two-way traffic flow will be maintained as far as possible, but some works will require a traffic control system to minimise traffic disruption and ensure the safety of operatives.
To help minimise any inconvenience to motorists, a majority of the work has been programmed to be completed using a traffic control system starting on the 9 September and continuing until the 8 October 2013.
Roads Service has programmed the works operations and traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public. However, motorists should be aware that some delays may be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning journeys.
Minister Kennedy said: "This scheme will improve the road safety for all users by making it easier for heavy goods vehicles to negotiate the junction as well as improving visibility for all road users."
