Arrests made in Finucane murder case
A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Belfast solicitor Pat Finucane.
The man, believed to be the loyalist informer known as Ken Barrett, was arrested by members of the Stevens Inquiry team who are investigating collusion between security forces and loyalist paramilitaries.
The 40-year-old man was arrested in England in a joint operation between officers of the Stevens team, Sussex police and the PSNI.
He was immediately taken to Northern Ireland to be questioned further on the murder.
Reports also suggest that a woman is being questioned at a Sussex police station in relation to the murder.
Mr Finucane, who was a high-profile Catholic solicitor, was shot dead by the UDA at his home in 1989.
A statement issued by the Metropolitan Police on Wednesday said that the arrests were in connection with the murder of Pat Finucane and other matters.

Finucane accused case collapses
The case against the man charged with aiding and abetting in the murder of Belfast solicitor Pat Finucane 12 years ago has collapsed. Lord Chief Justice Sir Robert Carswell returned a verdict of not guilty in the absence of evidence against William Stobie at Belfast Crown Court on Monday November 26.

A 54-year-old man has been arrested in suspicion of murder in connection with the death of an elderly man on 30 June in County Tyrone. The 84-year-old man was found dead at an address in Blackwater Road, Dromore. Police investigating the death made two arrests on Tuesday.
