Motorcyclist Dies In Co Antrim
A 46-year-old motorcyclist has died in a road traffic collision in Newtownabbey, County Antrim.
The crash happened on the Monkstown Road and involved another car.
It was reported to police shortly before 07:00 on Friday.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was travelling or walking on the Monkstown Road or Doagh Road at the time of the collision to contact them at Collision Investigation Unit on 0845 600 8000.
Flybe Cut 52 Jobs
Flybe are to cut 52 jobs at George Best Belfast City Airport.
The news follows an announcement earlier in the week to cut 500 jobs across the business.
Sixteen of the Belfast job losses will be among pilots, out of 61 currently employed.
Mayor Unveils Plaque For Belfast Artist
Belfast Lord Mayor Máirtín Ó Muilleoir has unveiled a panel at a bridge over the Lagan in memory of local artist John Luke.
Councillor Ó Muilleoir was joined by John Luke’s nephew, Neville McKee, to unveil panel highlighting the artist’s work and its importance to Belfast.
The Lord Mayor said: "Thousands of walkers and cyclists use the bridge and will be able to learn more about John Luke and his work.
"As one of our most famous sons he produced some wonderful pictures of the River Lagan. It is fitting that we pay tribute to him and that we welcome members of his family here today while doing so."
NI Temp To Plummet
Temperatures across Northern Ireland are set to plummet next week, as experts warn that the region could see snow and frosty conditions.
The cold weather is due to begin on Tuesday, with temperatures expected to drop to just above freezing, with wind chill making it feel like -3C.
Cold and frosts are expected to last throughout the rest of the month and into December.

A number of roads remain closed across Northern Ireland following the damage caused by Storm Ali. The following roads are still closed, however the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) is working to clear the obstructions along with its multiagency partners.

Road Closed In North Belfast Following Collision
The Ligoniel Road in north Belfast has closed following a one-vehicle collision. The road has been closed in both directions near the Wolfhill Road, according to the police. Diversions have been put in place and motorists are being advised to avoid the area. No other details have been released.

Man Injured In East Belfast Collision
A man has been injured in a two-car collision in east Belfast. The crash happened on the Upper Newtownards Road just before 10.30am on Tuesday, 23 May. The man has been taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries. The road has been re-opened.
