L'Derry city centre is preparing for the arrival of Christmas this weekend.

The city is to host a Festival of Trees, along with music, entertainment and animation.

The city's Mayor, Cllr Martin Reilly, said: "This weekend will feature a whole host of family friendly entertainment, and I can't wait to see the magical effect of the Christmas Lights Switch On and the Festival of Trees which both begin this Friday.
