Small Business Saturday Bus Rolls Into Belfast
Alliance Councillor Andrew Webb has welcomed a UK-wide initiative promoting Small Business Saturday to Belfast.
Part of a UK tour, the Small Business Saturday Bus rolls into Belfast today at 11am encouraging people to shop local on 7th December.
The East Belfast Councillor championed the initiative at Belfast City Council's November meeting, securing full support for the event which runs for the first time this year.
Councillor Andrew Webb said: "Ensuring economic development in Belfast is among my key priorities and it is essential we promote all our local traders and small businesses. It is great to see the bus in Belfast today, demonstrating that we are determined to grow our economy.
"I would encourage small business owners and local traders who are still unaware of Small Business Saturday to come along to the City Hall this morning between 11am and 11.30am to find out more and to take advantage of the help and support on offer.
"We must take every opportunity to support our business community, a sector Alliance is committed to protecting and growing. Small Business Saturday is a fantastic way for local people to show their backing for traders in the run up to Christmas and I would encourage everyone to indulge in some Christmas Shopping on December 7."
