Redevelopment For Odyssey Site
A proposed redevelopment of land adjacent to Belfast's Odyssey complex has been given outline planning permission.
The £100m development includes some 800 homes, two hotels, a retail area, leisure area, cafes, bars and restaurants and a large multi-storey car park.
The scheme is predicted to create over 1,000 jobs, with a further 800 during the construction phase, planning consultants, Turley Associates have said.

DAERA Minister Confirms Commitment to Deposit Return Scheme
DAERA Minister Andrew Muir has reaffirmed his commitment to introducing a Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) in Northern Ireland. The DRS is designed to encourage recycling by offering a monetary incentive for returning single-use drinks containers. The scheme will cover PET plastic, steel, and aluminium containers ranging from 150ml to 3 litres.

Approval Granted For Altnagelvin Hospital Car Park
Planning approval has been granted for a multi-storey car park and ground level car park at Altnagelvin Area Hospital in L'Derry. The multi-storey car park will be three storeys high and constructed on the site of the existing outpatients' car park.

Belfast City Council To Reform Planning Services
Belfast City Council has announced it's intention to reform Planning Services, with a renewed focus on how it communicates with various customer groups. The announcement follows recommendations in a report it commissioned by Scotland's former Chief Planner, Jim Mackinnon CBE and broad consultation with a number of stakeholder groups.
