Arrest After Hit-And-Run Incident

A man has been arrested following a suspected hit-and-run incident in Co Fermanagh.

A man in his 50s was killed in the accident which occurred on the Tullychurry Road, Belleek, just before 3am on Sunday (5 January).

Police said they believe the man was struck by a car which had failed to stop at the scene.

On Sunday evening, at around 5pm, Garda said a man, understood to be in his early 40s, was arrested in Co Donegal in connection with the incident. He is still being questioned by police.

His car was seized and is now being forensically examined.
