N Belfast Shop Robbed

A shop in north Belfast has been robbed by two men armed with a knife and a brick.

The incident occurred at about 19:45 on Thursday evening.

Two men entered the shop on the Crumlin Road and threatened a member of staff. The pair escaped on foot with a sum of cash.

One of the robbers is described as approximately 5'10" tall and was wearing a pale blue coat, blue jeans and had a scarf covering his face.

The second male was wearing a dark blue coat and jeans with a scarf covering his face. Police have appealed for information.

Man Detained Over Dissident Activity

A 25-year-old man has been detained in Belfast by detectives investigating dissident republican activity.

The man was taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite on Thursday evening.

Shots Fired At W Belfast House

Shots have been fired at a property in the Beechmount Parade area of west Belfast.

The attack occurred at about 21:15 on Thursday night.

The shots were reportedly fired by a masked man, who then made off in a black car.

A man and woman who were inside during the incident are not believed to have been injured.

Police say enquiries are continuing.

Man Fined Over DOE Planning Notice

A County L'Derry man has been fined £7,500 at Londonderry Magistrates' Court for non-compliance with a DOE Planning Enforcement notice.

Jason Hamilton of Kildoag Road, Killaloo was fined for non-compliance of an enforcement notice seeking the removal of an unauthorised wooden dwelling to the north of 152A Kildoag Road, Killaloo, Londonderry.

He was ordered to pay the Department's costs of £780 and court fees of £10.

Off licence robbed in south Belfast
A man armed with a handgun has robbed an off-licence in the University Road area of south Belfast. Shortly after 7pm, a man entered the premises and produced a handgun and demanded money from the till. The man made off with an undisclosed sum of money.

Serious Road Crash In L'Derry
A serious road crash has occurred on the Chapel Road in L'Derry. A car and a motorbike where involved in the incident, according to the police. One man, believed to be a teenager, has been taken to hospital where his injuries are believed to be serious. The road has been closed at its junctions with Newlyn Terrace and Spencer Road.
