Police Appeal Over Armed Robberies
Police in Belfast are appealing for information following two separate armed robberies at petrol stations on the evening of Friday 17 January.
Two males, one carrying a knife and the other carrying an extendable baton, entered premises on the Crumlin Road in north Belfast at 18:45 and threatened staff before making off with a sum of cash from the till.
The men made off on foot in the direction of Cliftonpark Avenue along the Crumlin Road.
One of the men was wearing a yellow coloured hooded top and grey track bottoms. The second was wearing a black coloured jacket and blue coloured track bottoms.
Then at 21:50, police received reports that a man carrying an iron bar entered another filling station on the Shankill Road and threatened staff before making off with a sum of cash.
The man made off on foot in the direction of Crosby Street where a second man was waiting for him.
He is described as being approximately 5'10" tall, aged in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing a white and grey hooded top and blue coloured track bottoms.
It is not known if the two incidents are connected.
Police would ask anyone who witnessed either incident to contact CID in Antrim Road on 0845 600 8000.

Police are appealing for information following reports of "suspicious behaviour" in Co Antrim over the weekend. Anyone who seen two men helping a woman into a red coloured vehicle in the Craigmore Road area in Randalstown at around 10pm on Saturday, 23 July, is being asked to contact the police.

Man Arrested Over Shooting In L'Derry
Gardai have arrested a man in Donegal in connection with a shooting at a wedding reception in L'Derry. The shooting happened at Rafters bar and restaurant in the Northland Road area at around 8.30pm on Wednesday. The man was treated for a hand injury at hospital and has since been discharged.
