Met Office Issues Yellow Weather Warning For NI

A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for Northern Ireland.

A small number of schools were forced to close in County L'Derry, Tobermore, Draperstown and Maghera following heavy snowfalls.

The PSNI are urging motorists to be very cautious on the roads.

A yellow weather warning has been issued for parts of Northern Ireland. The warning, which is valid from 9pm tonight until 6pm on Tuesday, has been put in place due to the arrival of Storm Helene.

Yellow Weather Warning Issued For Parts Of NI
A yellow weather warning for wind has been issued by the Met Office for parts of Northern Ireland on Wednesday, 31 January. The weather warning comes into effect at 9.00 am and is due to remain in place until 5.00 pm with warnings that it could impact travel, cause power outages and lead to large waves in coastal areas.

Yellow Weather Warning For Heavy Rain Issued Across NI
A yellow weather warning for heavy rain has been issued across Northern Ireland. The Met Office put the warning in place between midnight and noon on Saturday, 05 August, The heaviest rain is expected in Belfast and the South East, It said the wet and windy conditions could cause flooding in homes and businesses as well as travel disruption.

Yellow Weather Warning For Ice Issued Across NI
A number of schools across Northern Ireland are closed due to the heavy snow. A list of school closures is available here. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice which will remain in place until 10 am on Saturday, 11 March. Translink has also made changes to a number of its bus services.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice and wintry showers in parts of Northern Ireland this weekend. The warning has been put in place from 1am on Saturday 27 October and ends at 10am.
