Arrest Warrant Issued For Keith Gillespie
An arrest warrant has been issued for former Manchester United and Northern Ireland footballer Keith Gillespie, it has been reported.
The 39-year-old failed to attend Newtownards Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Gillespie, from Bangor, Co Down, had been on bail after being charged with breaching an order that said he had to stay away from an area of north Down.
By missing his court appearance, the judge said the sportsman had breached his bail, and subsequently issued a warrant.
Throughout his playing career, the former winger earned 86 caps for Northern Ireland having made his debut in September 1994.

A warrant has been issued by a Dublin District court for the arrest of a rapist from Northern Ireland who failed to appear in court. 19-year-old Edward Connors, who raped an American tourist in west Belfast four years ago, was released from prison at the start of the year after serving four years of an eight year sentence behind bars.

Quinn Nephew Shows Up AT GAA Matches
Peter Darragh Quinn, the nephew of former billionaire Sean Quinn, is reported to have attended to GAA matches in County Fermanagh despite a warrant being issued for his arrest. He was sentenced to three months behind bars for contempt of court on 20 July. He failed to appear at the court hearing and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) today, Tuesday, June 3rd, arrested a 71-year-old man who was wanted in the Republic of Ireland. The man is sought to stand trial for drug possession and supply offences that occurred in Dublin in 2021.

PSNI Rural Crime Unit Announced
A new 'Rural Crime Unit' is to be formed within the PSNI, according to the Ministry of Justice. Justice Minister David Ford made the announcement at this year's Balmoral Show, alongside Deputy Chief Constable Judith Gillespie and Martin Malone from agri-insurers NFU Mutual.
