Digger Used To Steal ATM
Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a service station on Friday morning (28 February).
Shortly before 3.45am, thieves used a Volvo digger to remove an ATM machine from the service station on the Newcastle Road, Seaforde.
Considerable damage was caused to the building as a result of the incident.
Detectives believe the digger was also stolen from a nearby quarry shortly before the robbery. The vehicle was then set on fire and destroyed.
The stolen ATM is yet to be recovered.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information, is asked to contact police in Downpatrick on 0845 600 8000, or through Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Roads Service Ready For Winter Weather
Infrastructure Minister John O'Dowd has confirmed that the Department's winter service team is prepared to tackle the current cold snap. Around 300 staff and 130 gritters are ready to salt main roads, while 12 snow blowers are available for deployment if necessary. Cash Machines Stolen From Antrim Tesco
Police have recovered a double ATM machine that was ripped from the wall of a supermarket in Antrim. The theft took place overnight in the town's Castle Way area. Officers responded to the incident shortly after 3am on Friday morning, 06 December, to discover a digger on fire and the unit housing two machines stolen.
