Newcastle Security Alert A 'Hoax'
Residents of the Burren Meadow in Newcastle, County Down are returning to their homes following a security alert sparked by the discovery of a suspicious object.
A number of homes were evacuated during the early hours of Wednesday 12 March after the item was discovered at around 00:40.
The device was examined by army bomb experts and subsequently declared a hoax. Residents are now returning to their homes.
Appeal Over W Belfast Shooting
Detectives in west Belfast are appealing for information following a report of a shooting in the Ross Road area.
Shortly after 19:35 on Monday 20 March, it was reported that a 20-year-old man received a gun shot wound to his left thigh. The shooting is believed to have taken place at the alleyway between Ross Road and Balkan Street.
One man is reported to have been seen running towards the Balkan Street area following the incident.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.
Enquiries are continuing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Police Investigate L'Derry Shooting
Police in Foyle are investigating a shooting incident in the Kerrigan Close area of L'Derry on the evening of Monday 10 March.
It has been reported that two males entered a house in the area at around 22:00 and shot a man in both legs.
He has been taken to hospital to be treated for injuries that are not thought to be life threatening.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police in Strand Road Police Station on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Men Charged Over Andersonstown Robbery
Two men have been charged with a number of offences that include possession of a firearm and attempted false imprisonment in connection with a burglary in west Belfast.
The 23- and 44-year-old are accused of aggravated burglary, possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances and attempted blackmail. The charges relate to an incident in the Andersonstown area on Tuesday morning.
Both are expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court later on Wednesday.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

PSNI Appeal For Information About West Belfast Shooting
The PSNI have appeal for witnesses to or any one with any information about a shooting incident in west Belfast on Wednesday night. A man was shot in the leg at Creeslough Gardens at around 21:30 on Wednesday night. It is understood that victim is in his 40s and his injuries are not life threatening.

Man Arrested In Bangor Shooting Investigation
A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the attempted murder of two men in Bangor. The male victims, aged 24 and 33, were shot as they sat in a car in the Eastway area of the Whitehill estate at about 00:45 on 10 February. UTV has reported that the UVF are thought to have been behind the attack.

Police have described the shooting of a 16-year-old boy in west Belfast as "child abuse". The teenager was attacked in the Springfield Road area at around 8.50pm on Thursday, 16 February. He was taken to hospital to be treated for his injures where his condition has been described as stable.
