L'Derry Woman Left In Bus Lane By Police
Bridget Mongan, 23, was captured on Monday on a camera being left in a bus lane by two police officers in L'Derry, who then appeared to drive off.
The video, which was filmed at John Street by members of the public and was posted on social media networks, has sparked outrage.
The woman has lifted to the side of the road in foetal position while a bus and a number of cars passed by.
Mrs Mongan, admits being drunk at the time, but said the officer should have left her on the pavement because she “could've been killed”.
She said: "I was drunk, yes, but they could've at least left me on the footpath. It's out of order, it's as simple as that.”
An investigation is being launched by the Police Ombusdman and the officers have been identified.
