Youth shot in both ankles
Police are appealing for information after an 18-year-old youth was shot in both ankles in a paramilitary-style attack in west Belfast.
The incident occurred in an alleyway off Beechview Park on Thursday night.
A group of what were described as "heavily set men" were seen running away from the scene of the incident towards Brittons Parade at around 10.20pm.
The youth had been abducted from his home in Turf Lodge at around 4.30pm on Wednesday.
He was treated in hospital for his injuries.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

A new recruitment campaign has been launched to find 30 new members of the Belfast City Youth Council (BCYC). The young people elected, three from each electoral district, will represent all areas of the city and will work with Belfast City Council to make sure young people have their say on the issues most important to them.

Detectives in Belfast are investigating a suspected arson attack on a 5G mast in the Andersonstown Road area. The incident occurred around 9.55pm on Wednesday, November 13th. Detective Sergeant Faulkner confirmed that officers attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, who successfully extinguished the blaze.
