No New Inquiry Into Birmingham Pub Bombings
Police have said there will be no new inquiry into the Birmingham pub bombings which killed 21 people and injured another 182 at Mulberry Bush and the Tavern in the Town in November 1974.
Six people were wrongly jailed in 1975 and spent 17 years in jail, until 1991 when their convictions were quashed.
West Midlands Police said they had not found "new evidence that would assist us in bringing anyone to justice for the pub bombings."
On Monday relatives of those who died met with the Chief Constable of West Midlands Police, Chris Sims, but were told that a fresh inquiry will not be set up following a review of evidence in the case.
Mr Sims said: "There is insufficient evidence for proceedings against any person. My professional judgement is that the 1991 to 94 investigation was carried out to a good standard."

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
