Man Arrested In Connection With Omagh Bombing
A man has been arrested in connection with the 1998 Omagh bombing.
Police arrested the man in Newry area, and say he is being held and questioned in Antrim.
Twenty-nine people were killed in the Real IRA attack of 15 August 1998.
The bombing has been described as the single worst atrocity in over 30 years of violence.

Man arrested in connection with Omagh bombing
A man has been arrested by Garda in Dundalk in connection with the 1998 Omagh bomb atrocity. The 34-year-old man, believed to be from the Dundalk area of Co Louth, was arrested in Newry in the early hours of Monday, and is being held in connection with “serious terrorist offences”.

An Irish man has been arrested in Spain in connection with an IRA bomb attack at a British Army base in Germany 16 years ago. Leonard Hardy, 44, was arrested at a hotel in the resort of Torremolinos by Spanish police acting on a warrant issued by the authorities in Germany.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

A man has been arrested over the bombing of McGurk's bar in Belfast in 1971, in which 15 people were killed. Police arrested the man in County Antrim and he was taken to Antrim police station for questioning. The attack on McGurk's bar was carried out on 4 December, 1971 by the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF).
