£2m Damages Paid To Paralysed Labourer
Two million pounds in damages is to be paid to a labourer who was left paralysed and brain damaged after falling down a storm tank.
The damages have been awarded to 57-year-old Lester Cowan, in a lawsuit over the accident which happened at a pumping station in Bangor, Co Down.
The accident happened in June 2009.
Council Urged To Review Safety After Drunk Driver Knocks Down Beach Walkers
A call has been made for a safety review of a Co Londonderry beach, after a drunk driver knocked down a woman and her four-year-old child.
The incident happened at Benone beach in July 2013.
The driver, 31-year-old Paul John Doherty, of Ballynahone, Fahan, Donegal, has been sentenced to 21 months in jail over seven driving offences.
Diane Wilkinson has called on Limavady Borough Council to review safety measures on the beach.
Rumours That US Software Firm Could Buy Former Maysfield Leisure Centre
A US software firm are understood to be in talks to buy the former Maysfield Leisure Centre.
According to reports, it is believed that Concentrix could be considering buying the site after an image was published by Belfast City Council, showing a new building on the site bearing the US company's logo.
However, it is thought the image could have been posted in error.

North-South Fire Safety Week launched
A joint north-south Fire Safety Week has been launched today by the Northern Ireland Fire Brigade and the Republic of Ireland’s National Safety Council. ‘Fire, Our Community at Risk’ aims to raise public awareness of fire safety issues, and in particular, the higher risk to the very young and elderly people living alone.

Girl, 12, Killed In Newry Beach Buggy Crash
A 12-year-old girl has died in a crash involving a beach buggy in Newry. The girl was travelling on the buggy with another 14-year-old girl when they collided with a pick-up trick at around 2.50pm on the Flagstaff Road in Cloughogue on Saturday, 18 November. The 12-year-old girl died from her injuries.
