Medical Professionals To Meet For 'Emergency Health Care Summit'
A number of senior medical professionals are to meet for what has been described as an "emergency health care summit".
It is understood that the meeting is to take place in Belfast to discuss the "ongoing crisis facing emergency departments and staff".
A number of consultants, managers, GPs, nurses and union representatives are expected to attend, with Health Minister Edwin Poots to address the meeting.

Appeal After Police Cyclist Struck In Belfast Hit And Run Incident
The PSNI are appealing for information after a police cyclist was struck in a hit and run incident in Belfast. The incident happened in the Wellington Place area at around 1.30pm on Saturday, 26 December. The police cyclists was hit by a car that drove on without stopping.

Police in Larne have issued an appeal to help trace missing 21-year-old William Davey. William was last seen in the early hours of Sunday morning after being out for Halloween. He is described as 5ft 8inches in height of slim build with blonde hair. He was wearing a silver skeleton costume.

Police Appeal For Witnesses To Springfield Road Stabbing
A man in his 60s has been stabbed in an attack on the Springfield Road at about 06:40 this morning, according to police. The victim, allegedly stabbed in the neck, is being treated in hospital, where his condition is described as serious but stable. A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Health Minister Robin Swann has announced the opening of a new £1.8 million unit at Causeway Hospital, giving patients timely and direct access to surgical assessment, diagnostics and a treatment plan. The new surgical ambulatory unit will help reduce hospital admissions and attendances at Emergency Departments.
