Social Development Minister, Nelson McCausland has visited the new centre, where a total of £244,132 has been spent transforming the building.
£186,132 was provided by the Northern Ireland Executive through the Department for Social Development’s Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy, with £58,000 provided by Belfast City Council through its Local Investment Fund.
The newly refurbished premises will allow Conway Youth Centre to deliver a range of new services including sport and leisure activities, food bank provision and a recycled furniture outlet as well as enhancing existing services.
During the visit the Minister said: "The revitalised Centre will allow local families, schools, community groups, and sporting clubs in the area to avail of a range of sporting, leisure and play activities in a safe, purpose built facility.
