Search is on for a winning image of construction
The construction industry wants amateur photographers to help boost its image in an innovative new photography competition.
People, construction sites and exterior shots of completed buildings and structures will be the three themes of the Construction Photography Competition, which is being sponsored by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
"We want people to see that construction is a vibrant industry - responsible for creating beautiful buildings and awe-inspiring structures," commented CITB Campaign Manager, Gareth Bannon. "Construction has a crucial role to play in the sustainable development of our communities' and we employ 52,000 people in the Northern Ireland who are helping to shape our towns and cities. We are looking for inspirational images that capture these aspects of our industry."
The closing date for applications is 29 September, with the results to be announced during National Construction Week, which runs from 8-15 October 2003.
Photographers can enter the competition by visiting the CITB website on www.citbni.org.uk
